Marsha E. Armstrong, 42, died Thursday morning, March 17, 1994, in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a sudden illness. Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Hoover-Valentine Funeral Home, by the Rev. Bill Weston. Burial: Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Steele; a son, James Starkweather, and a daughter, Sandra Starkweather, both of Marengo; four stepdaughters, Sandra Ruhd, Sharon Steele and Stacy Steele, all of Cedar Rapids, and Shelly Steele of Marengo; her father, Robert Peck of Bemidji, Minn.; a brother, Jack DeNio of Minneapolis; and two sisters; Mary Brodersen and Margaret Skersick, both of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a son, Jack, on March 3, 1994.

A memorial fund has been established.
