Irvin R. Weaver, 100, formerly of Leola and Brownstown, died Monday morning of natural causes at the Fairmount Rest Home of Ephrata.
Weaver retired in 1961 after 28 years in the shipping department at the former Armstrong Cork Co.
He and his wife, Annie J. Weitzell Weaver, were married 80 years on Feb. 20.
Born in Warwick Township, he was a son of the late John R. and Lizzie W. Horst Weaver.
Weaver belonged to Evangelical United Methodist Church of New Holland and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Clifford C. and Kenneth L., both of Brownstown; three daughters, Marguerite J., wife of Lavern Mumma of Talmage, Treva L., wife of Henry G. Good of Morrisdale, and Ethel M. Brandt of Manheim; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; a great-great-great-grandson; two brothers, Arthur P. and Warren L., both of Lancaster; and three sisters, Grace E. Martin of Akron, Kathryn M. Conrad of Millersville and Anna M. Lewis of Leola R1.
Preceding him in death are a son, Irvin R. Jr., and a daughter, Lillian LeFever.
