Clara Ann "Kay" Geier, 94, of Silver Creek, formerly of Columbus, died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at her home in Silver Creek.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Fr. Del Lape officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time with a 12:30 rosary at the funeral home. Private family interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.
Clara Ann Geier was born May 4, 1917, in rural Nance County, Nebraska, to Charles and Anna (Wetovick) Boro. She attended grade school at Krakow. Clara was united in marriage to John Geier on April 15, 1952, in Hebron, NE. The couple resided in Duncan until building a home in Columbus in the early 1960's. Clara enjoyed doing textile painting on pillow cases and tea towels, and playing games and cards with her nieces and nephews. Clara had just recently moved to Silver Creek to be closer to family. Clara considered many of her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews as her own.
