FARR WEST - Calvin Douglas Child, 83, died March 31, 2007. He was born September 8, 1923, in Riverdale, UT, the son of Herman Douglas and Dora Bingham Child. Cal served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Wilma Maxine Shields March 7, 1967, in Riverdale, UT.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an active member of the Farr West 1st Ward.

Cal was the owner and operator of Cals Trailers in Riverdale and Ogden for 40 years.

He loved to fish, fly his plane and enjoyed golfing and bowling with Maxine.

He is survived by his wife Maxine; son James Douglas Child (Gloria), Maitland, FL; daughter Judy Ellen Edwards (John), Casselberry, FL; and one grandchild Lori Child.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden. Family and friends may call at the Farr West 1st Ward, 1800 W. 1800 N., Farr West, prior to service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
