Helen A. Koldys 1924 - 2011 FOXBORO Helen A. Koldys, 87, of 24 West St., Foxboro, died Dec. 8, at home. She was born in Housatonic on Sept. 26, 1924, daughter of Wladyslaw and Marianna Miszka Krzynowek. Helen attended local schools and was a 1943 graduate of the former Searles High School. She worked from 1943 to 1955 in the weaving department of the former Monument Mills in Housatonic; she was also employed by the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge and as a garment finisher at the former Jennifer House in Great Barrington prior to her retirement. Helen was a communicant of the former All Saint's Church and a member if its rosary sodality. With the love, support and strong faith of her family, Helen survived a serious illness in infancy. From this experience, she never took life for granted and chose as her favorite charity St Jude Children's Research Hospital, which she supported throughout her life. Helen leaves her husband, Stanley, whom she married on July 25, 1953; a daughter, Margaret, and her son-in-law, Brian Estabrook, with whom she resided since 2006; a son, John Koldys, and daughter-in-law, Margot; three granddaughters, Audrey, Sarah and Emily Koldys of Pittsfield; a sister, Stacia, and brother-in-law, Edward Zelek, of Housatonic, and many loving supportive family members. She was predeceased by her son, Bruce, of Housatonic, and her two brothers, Stanley and Alexander Krzynowek of West Hartford, CT. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Helen A. Koldys who died Dec. 8, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church of the Corpus Christi Parish, with the Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. In keeping with Helen's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in Helen's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA. 01230.
