A sad accident happened Thursday afternoon, Jan. 25th near Dingmans Ferry which caused the death of an aged and one of the most respected citizens of Delaware township. Mr. Kilsby had gone to feed his cattle and while climbing a pair of bars probably was attacked with vertigo, to which he was subject, and fell striking on his head and dislocating his neck. He lay for some time before being found and was then carried to the house. He survived until Friday morning and part of the time was in a conscious condition so as to be able to give details of the accident.

He was born in New York City about 73 years ago and was a son of the late John W. and Elizabeth Brewer Davis Kilsby. Both his parents were born in England. The mother died many years ago in New York and the father a few years ago in Delaware township. In the late fifties after the death of his mother, he came with his father and brother to Delaware township and ever since has resided there.
