James Dale, a pioneer of Lebanon, died at his home, 428 Clark Street, Friday morning at 4 o'clock, after an illness of six months with heart trouble. Mr. Dale was a native of Mt. Sterling, Nicholas County, Kentucky. He was aged 76 years, 9 months, and 11 days. He was married in this county to Ellen E. Myers. He is survived by the following children: Wesley L., James H., Matilda [Marilda] J. Dickerson, Anna Woolen, Sarah, and Dessie Dale. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: George W. Dale of Franklin,; Mrs. Verga [Virginia] Gypson, of Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Dale was a member of the Methodist Chutrch at Bethel. Funeral services were held Sunday at Milledgeville at 1 p.m. Interment Old Union.
