CONWAY — Joe Tom Ricks, 77, died Tuesday at Halifax Memorial Hospital in Roanoke Rapids. A funeral was held Friday in Conway Baptist Church by the Rev. James Hester. Burial followed in Conway Cemetery.
He was a native of Northampton County and the husband of the late Mrs. Mattie Spencer Ricks. He was a retired rural mail carrier. He was a member of Conway Baptist Church and Pendleton Masonic Lodge 524.
Survivors include a brother, Carl Ricks of Conway, and several nieces and nephews.
