From the SOUTH BEND (IN) TRIBUNE, Saturday, March 31, 1945:

Mrs. Nettie Aufschlager, aged 57, of Edison road, rural route No. 5, died in Epworth hospital at 12:30 p.m. Friday after an illness of three months with a heart ailment. She was born in Waterloo county, Ontario, Canada, Aug 1, 1887, and came here 38 years ago from Canada.

On Nov. 24, 1908, she was married to Joseph Aufschlager who survives her. She is also survived by three daughters, Miss Clara, at home, and Mrs. Louis Degits and Mrs. Frank Firtl, Jr., both of South Bend; two grandchildren; six brothers, Frank Hinsberger, of Vancouver, B.C.; Otto Hinsberger of South Bend; William and Charles Hinsberger, both of Callendar, Ontario, and Alex and Fred Hinserger, of St. Clements, Ontario and three sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Schneider of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs John Miller of St. Clements and Mrs. Elizabeth LeBlanc, of South Bend.
