FLORENCE MAXINE RISING: 85, of Elyria pass-ed away Sunday [11-9] in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a short illness. She was born 14 Mar 1923 in Belden. She lived in the Lorain County area all her life. She was a member of LaPorte United Metho-dist Church for 57yrs. She was a homemaker & enjoyed caring for her family home. Maxine enjoyed golfing, her grandchild & was a volun-teer at Lorain Cnty Metro Parks-Carlisle Reser-vation & was a member of Belden Historical Society, Lagrange Homemakers, Sr Womens Fellowship in Elyria & Brentwood Belles Golf League for several years.
She is survived by dau: Bonnie Rising-Elyria; son: Gary (sp-Jean) Rising-Wellington; grand-son: Scott Rising-Broadview Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband Eldon in 1989, parents: Clarence & Irene Wise; & sisters: Fern & Beulah.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home-Grafton where services will be Wednes-day morning [11-12]. Rev Jonathan McCleery, Pastor of LaPorte United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in Belden Cem-Grafton Twp. The family suggest memorials may be made to Lorain County Metro Parks.
