C.C. Hartshorne
Charles Cassius, the son of Robert B. and Margaret Ewing Hartshorne, was born at New Lisbon, Ohio, July 27th, 1850. His first marriage was to Miss Anna McPheeters, of Thayer, Kansas, March 19th, 1879. To this union were born Hunter G., and Robert A., of Portland, Oregon and Eugene C., of Panama. The mother of these sons passed away some years ago.
On July 26th, 1907, he was married to Miss Pattie L. Dunlap of this city.
He passed away at his country home three miles west of town, early Sunday morning May 7th, 1916. The funeral service was held in the Presbyterian church of this city, May 14th, in the presence of a large attendance of friends and neighbors, at half past two in the afternoon. The interment was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
