MARY ALICE COPPAGE NITSCHKE, 63, of Hahira died Friday, July 13, 2007 at her home. She was born on January 3, 1944 in Lowndes County to the late Roy M. and Bessie Bell Cain Coppage and had lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Nitschke loved spending time with her grandchildren, the outdoors and fishing. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, R.B. Nitschke of Hahira, son and daughter in law, Mike and Sonya Thomason of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Michael Thomason, Blake Thomason and Rhett Thomason, stepsons and stepdaughters in law, Ricky and Tina Nitschke of Valdosta, Mark and Brenda Nitschke of Lee, Fla., grandchildren, Christian Nitschke and Carolanne Nitschke, four brothers and three sisters in law, Etheridge and Gloria Coppage, Ronald and JoAnn Coppage, Herman and Tammy Coppage all of Valdosta and Edward Coppage of Orange, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Robert Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
