Jane Reed Conley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Thursday Dec. 8, 2011. Service: She will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. She was born July 26, 1921, in Houston, Pa. She attended Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, where she met and married Robert F. Conley. They were married 52 years and shared 32 years of U.S. Marine Corps aviation life. They were stationed across the U.S., England and France. They retired to Jacksonville Beach, Fla. In 2003, she moved to Fort Worth to be close to family. She was preceded in death by her son, Capt. Bob Conley, a Marine Corps pilot who died at age 26 in combat in the Vietnam War; her husband, Brig. Gen. Robert Conley; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors: Her son, Lt. Col. Chris Conley and wife, Paula; granddaughter, Katy Randall and husband, Allen; great-granddaughter, Andi Jean; niece, Sue Boyer of Weatherford; great-nieces, Becky Boyer of Fort Worth and Rachel Perry of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and other nieces and nephews.
