CHILDRESS - R.C. Sloss, 74, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock with Stephen Porter, pastor of Paducah Primitive Baptist Church, and the Rev. Jes Stafford, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Sloss was born July 24, 1929, in Wheeler. He married Lula McCawley on Aug. 16, 1969, in Childress.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chris Sloss of Childress and Stephen Sloss of Quanah; two daughters, Janie Tipton and Charlette Shoffner, both of Childress; two sisters, Rhea Hill of California and Mildred Maloney of Whitesboro; two brothers, Bill Sloss and Dee Sloss, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
