Dennis Lee Leeper was born September 27, 1949 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was the son of Roscoe Lee and Betty Jane(Worrall)Leeper.

Dennis attended school. After school Dennis was cared for by his parents, sister, and aunt. Recently he worked with and lived at the Pella christian Opportunity Center in Pella.

Dennis enjoyed working, living and the friendship at the Christian Opportunity Center. Dennis was a quiet, gentle spirit, and loving to his friends. He loved watching "Wheel of Fortune" and his large collection of dictionaries and books. He also loved eating out, especially Coke, cheeseburgers, fries and a Blizzard, and chicken TV dinners on Sundays. Dennis was very helpful to the staff of the C.O.C. He looked forward to the Central College friends who would visit him. Dennis passed away at the Pella Regional Health Center on Tuesday, December 7, 2011 at the age of 62 years, two months, and ten days.

Survivors include his niece Dyan and Paul Mitchell of Knoxville and their family Catlin, Allyson, and a great great nephew Bryer; also his nephew Michael and Helen Slofkosky of Pleasant Hill and their son Brody.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Betty Leeper; his sister Sherilyn Slofkosky; and his beloved aunt, Hazel Worrall.

Visitation for Dennis will be held from 9-10 am Tuesday, December 13th, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville, with Dennis' family present. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am also Tuesday, December 13th, at the Winfield Funeral Home. Following services burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. A memorial has been established to the Christian Opportunity Center.
