Mr. Lawrence Hilton "Buddy" Price Jr., 74, of Barnesville, died Friday, May 29, at his residence.
Born June 29, 1923, in Barnesville, he was the son of the late Lawrence H. and Deborah J. Burdette Price Sr.
Mr. Price served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the European Theater from 1942 through 1946.
He was a volunteer for Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department Company #14. He was employed by the Montgomery County Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1974. His badge number was 39.
Surviving are 10 children, Lawrence H. Price III, Deborah Jane Parsley, Michael Creighton Price, Ida Susan Ricketson, Samuel Darby Price, John Francis Price, Mary Elizabeth Lynch, William Nicholson Price, Harry Edwin Price and Vincent Andrew Price; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Price will also be remembered by his friend, Mary Butts.
Mr. Price was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Rebecca Price Starkey.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice
of Montgomery County, 1450 Research Blvd., Suite 310, Rockville, Md. 20850.
