Obituary

Robert R. Kenyon, 57, president of a Silver Spring firm that serves as manufacturers' agents, died yesterday in the Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness. He lived at 5613 Johnson Ave., Bethesda.

Mr. Kenyon, born in Syracuse, N.Y., served in the Navy during World War II. He and his brother, Frank A., organized Kenyon Brothers, Inc., shortly after the war.

He previously was employed by Hugh Reilly Paint Co. and later at Freis, Beall and Sharp Co. here, where he was head of the paint division.

Mr. Kenyon was one of the early presidents of the Washington Paint Club and was also active in the Washington Lapidary Society.

He participated in Methodist church work and in civic affairs in Montgomery County.

Besides his wife, the former Audrey V. Arrington, he leaves a son, Lowell A., of 153 Talbott St., Rockville; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur E. Stine of 6004 39th Place, Hyattsville, and Mrs. William H. Dunn of 2804 S. 9th St., Arlington; his mother, Mrs. Laura K. Norris of the Arlington address; his brother, of 1608 White Oak Drive, Silver Spring, and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Tyson Wheeler Funeral Home, 1331 Rockville Pike, Rockville, with burial in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the 20th Century Hour, Haddon and Ervin Avenues, Collingswood, N.J.
