Verna Marie Medley Ruby of Tullahoma passed away at Harton Regional Medical Center on December 8, 2011 at the age of 80. Born near Huntland, Tennessee in Franklin County, Marie was always an active member the the United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother and had a passion for sewing, crafts and crocheting.
Marie is survived by her husband, Herbert Ruby, Jr., daughter Jan Ruby, sons James Ruby and Keith Ruby; grandchildren, Jason Roberts, Joshua Ruby, Carmen Ruby, Blake Ruby, Keifer Ruby and Heather Nilan; great grandson Elijah Roberts; sisters Betty Hunt and Patricia Johnson and brother Russell Medley. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Nathan Medley and Lottie Hall Medley; brothers Elton, Nathan Jr., and Milton and sisters Melva and Irene.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, from 10:00AM until 1:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00PM in the chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Fields officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon, Tennessee at 3:30PM. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.tullahomafuneralhome.com.
