Services for Gayla Dawn Scott, 45, Ada, are 2:00 P.M. Friday at Ada Baptist Temple, Rev. Hazel Wallace officiating. Burial follows at Boiling Springs Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Ms. Scott died on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at OU Medical Center. She was born December 8, 1965, in Coalgate to Woodrow Wilson Jackson Jr. and Vina Lorene Cole Jackson. She received a Bachelor's Degree and Masters Degree from East Central University. She worked as an admission clerk at the Chickasaw Nation Cultural Center in Sulphur. She enjoyed working with her co-workers at the Cultural Center. Survivors include a son, Thomas Scott, Ada; mother, Lorene Scott, Lula; two sisters, Monica Jackson, Wagner, South Dakota; and Sonya Frazier and husband George, Ada; a brother, Jason Scott, Ada; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Jackson, Marisa Jackson, Samantha Jackson, Fichik Frazier, Little Sky Frazier, Geordana Frazier, Jalen Frazier, Jacob Frazier, Hummingbird Scott, Butterfly Scott, and Baby Jay Scott; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Oklahoma and South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, Frank and Vina Carpenter; and maternal grandparents, Albert and Eunice Carpenter. Bearers are Daniel Frazier, Gabriel Frazier, Darryl Brown, Jarrod Presley, Mark Alexander and George Frazier. Honorary bearers will be Little Sky Frazier, Nicholas Jackson, Jonathan Malinga, Fran Parchcorn, Lee Cravatt and Billy Davis.
