HELEN LOUISE (EVANS) AGNEW was born April 2, 1913, in Grinnell, Iowa. She was the sixth of seven children born to William Arthur Evans and Pearl A. (Spangler) Evans. She married Robert Ray Agnew (born January 29, 1910, in Ewart, Iowa) on September 14, 1935, in Grinnell, Iowa. They had two children (Harriet Joan Agnew and Robert Evans Agnew) and farmed near Montezuma. Ray died December 7, 1972, and Louise died July 7, 2001. Both are buried in the Ewart Cemetery.
