BELMOND - Nina Genevieve "Gen" Cooke, 90, of formerly of Clear Lake and Clarion, died Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2003) at the Belmond Medical Center. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ewing Dugger Willim Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. Clarion, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Nina Genevieve "Gen" Cooke, daughter of Milton and Alice Delano, was born June 15, 1913, in Clarion. She attended country school and graduated in 1932. Gen is survived by one daughter, Carlene Cooke, of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sons, Robert and his wife, Bernadine, of Belmond, and Ronald and his wife, Donna, of Clear Lake; one sister, Lorene Harlow of Wabasha, Minn.; nine grandchildren; four step- grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one sister; one son, Jerry Cooke; one daughter, Beth Kluss; and two infant granddaughters; and a special friend Beulah Thompson.
