Peggy Sue Grimes, 64, of Welling­ton, died Tues­day, Nov. 29, 2011 at her home.
Born in McDow­ell, Kent., on Feb. 7, 1947, Peggy was the daugh­ter of Johnny and Car­rie (nee Pin­son) Sword.
Peggy worked for For­est City in Welling­ton for 15 years and retired from Wal-Mart after 10 years of employ­ment. She enjoyed danc­ing and singing and cher­ished time spent with her family.
Sur­vivors include her daugh­ter, Patti (John) Owen, of Welling­ton; grand­chil­dren, Ash­ley E. Wal­ton, James Ray Wal­ton Jr., Jes­sica Paige Wal­ton, all of Welling­ton and Shana Wal­ton, of Geor­gia; two sons of Wis­con­sin; mother, Car­rie Sword; sib­lings, Rus­sel (Sandy) Sword of New Lon­don, Stoney (Karen) Sword of Ash­land, Anna Rus­sell of Welling­ton, Patty (Larry) Gum of Indi­ana, Artie (Jayne) Sword of Welling­ton, San­dra (Kevin) Jor­dan of Welling­ton, Don­nie (Cathy) Sword of Indi­ana, Deb­bie Gal­loway of Welling­ton and Kenny (Stacy) Sword of Welling­ton; and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was pre­ceded in death by her father, Johnny; brother Ed; hus­band Sam Grimes; and grand­son Joshua.
Vis­i­ta­tion will be Thurs­day, Dec. 1, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Welling­ton, where funeral ser­vices will be held Fri­day at 11 a.m. with Pas­tor Garry West offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will fol­low at Green­wood Ceme­tery, Welling­ton. In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily requests dona­tions to the funeral home or to New Life Hos­pice, 5255 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria, Ohio, 44035.
