In 1903 her husband died at their home in Hubbard and she has since been cared for by her daughter Mrs. Jess Wynn, until the time of her death, May 11, 1909. She was a devoted wife and kind loving mother. While her last sickness was only for a short time she suffered greatly, never complaining, relizing from the first that her time on earth was short but perfectly reconciled to go. She will be missed by a large circle of friends as well as in the home for by her good works she was known.
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

Aged Pioneer Passes Away
On Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 occurred the death of Mrs. Marid Harris, of Hubbard, who has been a highly respected resident of that community for over twenty years. She was eighty-two years of age and her death was not unexpected as she has been very low for sometime. Last week it became evident the end was near and the three children who live at a distance, were notified. A daughter arrived a few days before her mother's death but the son who came from Wisconsin, arrived four hours after. The daughter who resides in the west, was unable to come.
The deceased is survived by four sons and three daughters.
The sons are: Chancy, Plin and Erwin of Hubbard, and George who lives at Lacrosse, Wis.; The daughters are: Mrs. Wm. Septor, Green, Iowa; Mrs. Wm. Stombaugh, Planes, Mont.; and Mrs. Jess Wynn and Mrs. George Blanchard both of Hubbard.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Hubbard yesterday at 10 o'clock, and were attended by a large gathering. The services were conducted by Rev. Green of Akeley and interment was in the Shell City cemetery.
