SIMMONS, Raymond "Wayne" 70 years old, born March 3, 1941, in Bradenton, went to his Heavenly home Dec. 6, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Valerie; children, Yvette (Don) Behmer, Dana (Earl) Stockton, Rebecca, Ryan, Beth (Greg) Williams, and Wayne; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by sisters, Ervine Braddock of Jacksonville, Mary Crowley of Chincoteugue Island, VA; brother, Paul Simmons of Schenectady, NY, Joshua Simmons and Jimmie Simmons of Bradenton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother. Visitation will be held at the River of Praise Church of God, New Port Richey, on Thursday, from 3 to 4 pm with a service to follow at 4. There will also be a visitation on Friday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home; Manatee Ave., in Bradenton, from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be on Saturday at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, Florida. There will be a service in the chapel at 2 pm. Prevatt Funeral Home.
