Dated January 28, 1983;
After 26 years of dedicated service to the school and her students, math instructor Evadne Moore has died of cancer. Miss Moore passed away on January 15 after a long battle with the disease. But exhibiting the dedication she had maintained through 52 semesters at High and Foothill Streets, Miss Moore worked up to the near very end.

After working for Sherman & Clay Music Company for some time she switched to teaching. The National Science Foundation recognized her skill with a grant.
Miss Moore, born in Portland, Oregon grew up in the East Bay and lived and worked almost her entire life. She was only 61 when she died.
She is survived by a brother and five nephews and nieces. Memorial Services will be 2pm January 29, at the Tower Chapel of Mountain View Cemetary, Oakland.
The family asked that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Peralta Hospital Cancer Society Institute or the Evadne Moore Scholarship Fund of Fremont High School.
The entire Fremont family will miss Evadne Moore.
