AMBER H. TICKLE, 94, formerly of Matewan, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in Chateau Grove Senior Living, Barboursville. She was born June 6, 1917, in Chattaroy, W.Va., to the late Joseph Jefferson and Chloe Curry Staten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Samuel Tickle;
son Larry Tickle;
two sisters Ruby Brockhoff and Agnes Hatfield;
one brother Vernal Staten.
She is survived by
one daughter, Cheryl (Jack) Nelson of Proctorville, Ohio;
one son, Ronald Lee (Lucia) Tickle of Tennessee;
many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granchildren;
previous caregiver Pat Ash.
She was a member of Samaria Primitive Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star in Red Jacket, W.Va.
A graveside service at Buskirk Cemetery, Buskirk, Ky. Burial in Buskirk Cemetery.
