Feb 3, 1941 at age 87 years 2 months and 1 day. Norman Lawrence Buttolph was born 2 Dec 1854, in Indiana. When a small child he moved with his parents to Benton, Iowa where he grew to manhood. In 1881 he was united in marriage to Ida Eudora Brown, and to this union was born four children: Mary Alice, Emma Opal, George Mondtilla and Myrtle Ethel.
His wife and son preceeded him in death. His wife in 1927 at Liberty, NE, and his son George in Homewood, KS in 1928.
In 1916 he moved to Liberty, NE where he lived till the time of his death on 3 Feb. 1941 at age 87 years, 2 months and 1 day. In 1907 he was converted and joined the Methodist church at Graden, KS. He leaves to mourn his passing 2 daughters, Opal (Arthur) Smith; Myrtle (Forrest) Moon; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Catlin of Kearny, NB; Mrs Mary McElhiney of Boone, IA and two brothers, William of Saco, Montana, and Edward of Kearney NB, 18 grand children and 28 great grand children and many other relatives and friends. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a devot christian. His faith growing ever stronger toward the end.
