Kent H. Sanders, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born on March 7, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Gibbs) Sanders.
Mr. Sanders was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Kent attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School. He also attended the University at Buffalo. On June 27, 1964, Mr. Sanders married the former Mary DerOhanessian in St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Kent worked as a Senior Technician and later as a Foreman for Carborundum. He attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Niagara Falls, NY. While his children were growing up, Mr. Sanders assisted coaching their soccer teams. Kent served as a Boy Scout Master. He enjoyed going to his camp in the southern tier and reading. Above all, Mr. Sanders loved spending time with his grandson.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sanders is survived by two children, Mark (Rita Franc) Sanders of Youngstown, NY and Christine (Phillip) Chase of Niagara Falls, NY; one grandson, Aiden Chase; one brother, Russell (Mickey) Sanders of Grand Ridge, TX; one sister, Mary Lou Sanders of Gasport, NY; one nephew and many nieces.
