Ville Platte~ A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM for John Ralph Ortego, 64 . Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Joshua Guillory Celebrant.
Mr. Ortego a resident of Ville Platte, is survived by one son, John Kirk Ortego of Ville Platte; one daughter, Johnette Berzas and husband, Jacob, of Mamou; one brother, Francis Kernel Ortego, of Ville Platte; two sisters, Jody Marie Ortego and Juliana Ortego Russell both of Ville Platte; three grandchildren, Alexis Paige Ortego, Peyton Jake Berzas and Tanner Shai Ortego.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Marjorie Ortego.
Mr Ralph Ortego served in the U.S. Armed Forces where he was stationed in Germany.
At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Friday, December 09, 2011 from 10:00 am until Midnight. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Friday evening.
