Age 84 years, died Sunday morning December 4, 2011. She was born April 2, 1927 to the late John and Beatrice (Maloney) McDonough in Bay City. Betty graduated from St. James High School in the Class of 1945. She has been a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Essexville for over 50 years. Betty was proud of her Irish heritage – her Irish eyes were always smiling.

On March 31, 1951 she married Thomas Gerald (Jerry) LeFevre who survives along with their son and three daughters: Martin (Cecily) LeFevre, Mimi (Larry) Boon, Mary (Tony) Talaga, Margo (Dave) Russell; and eight grandchildren: Ashley (Drew) Piazza, Brett Boon, Holly, Nick, Heidi Talaga, Nathan, Lindsay, Jason Russell: and her great-granddaughter, Kayla Talaga.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John McDonough; and two sisters: Sr. Agnes Rita, SC, and Margaret Trepkowski.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Church. Rev. Robert J. DeLand will preside with burial following in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be designated for the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a charity of the donor's choice. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2:30 until 8:00 pm at the W. A.
