Peggy Ann (Loehrig) Schaeffer died December 3, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She had previously been a resident at Spruce Manor, West Reading.
She was the wife of William John Schaeffer, who died February 22, 2008 and the common law wife of the late Charles Everett Benjamim.
Peggy was a woman who loved listening to oldies music and dancing to the beat. She loved her children and worried about all of them every day. Peggy was full of stories and free spirited in her own way. She enjoyed simple things in life. A very caring person, Peggy loved giving gifts to everyone.
She was the mother of seven children: Dee Ann Ely, Peggy Ann Schaeffer, Melissa Ann Guldin, Margaret Elaine Baver, John William Schaeffer, Denise Ann Benjamin, and Charles Everett Benjamin Schaeffer and the grandmother of eleven grandchildren: Joseph, Justin, Regina, Lucky, Derrick, Kevin, James, Anthony, Alyssa, Mariah, Clara; a great-grandmother to Leanna and a sister to Dennis Carl Loehrig.
We love and miss you and will never forget you. Our prayer is that our mother has found God's love, peace and joy in heaven.
Peggy will be cremated and her ashes scattered in the scattering garden at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
