Her maiden name was Lough.
She was united in matrimony with John C. Calhoun, until the battle of Gettysburg, severed their marital relations, leaving her a widow with two children who survive her.
Later she linked her fortunes with those of J.J. Lambert, which relations continued amid the joys and sorrows of life until death came, Sunday night last, and disrobed her soul of its fleshy garb.
During this second marriage which continued 37 years, she gave birth to 10 children.
Four children and four grand children await her coming to the heavenly shore.
Six children and her bereaved companion remain to mourn her demise.
Soon after her second marriage she gave her heart to God and united with the M.E. Church.
Her life, though quiet, has been one of self sacrifice for those she loved, and others who needed sympathy or help.
Though her eyesight was dim to earthly vision her spiritual sight was clear.
Peacefully and without a struggle she passed from labor to reward.
