Funeral services for Mrs. Harry E. Beals Sr., 628 Arundel St., who died Thursday in St Mary's Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Blair Colonial Mortuary. They will be conducted by the Rev. Theodore AInman, pastor the Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Beals was the former Nellie Estella Wright, daughter of Orrin and Serepta White Wright. She was born March 22nd,1889, in Kearney, Neb., and she was married on Nov. 17th, 1907, in Emporia. Mrs Beals, a resident of Emporia since she was 12 years old, was a member of Harry Easter Camp,Daughters of Union Veterans, and she was a former department president of the organziation. She also was a member of the Grace United Methodist church and the Auxiliary of the United Transportion Union. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Feb 11th, 1954 and by one son, Harry E Beals Jr., who died Aug 20th 1970; one brother; two sisters; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is survived by three sons, Justin Q., of Washington, D.C., Austin C, of Oakland, Calif, and Addison L of McPherson; one daughter, Nellie June Beals, Chanute; one brother, Lester A Wright, Canon City, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs A S (Maude) Ramsburg, 411 Neosho St., Mrs R O (Carrie) Fowler, 415 Neosho St., and Mrs John (Elnora) Phillips, Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
