Phyllis Mae (Woodard) Rosselot, 78, of Lebanon, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. She was born on March 10, 1933, in Crawfordsville, to parents, Clifford E. and Edna A. (Yaryan) Woodard. She attended Jamestown schools, graduating in 1951. Phyllis began her career while still in high school, working evenings until she graduated. She was a switchboard operator at Indiana Bell Telephone. After graduation, she moved to Indianapolis to work in business administration. Over the years, she worked for Railroadmen's Savings and Loan, RCR, Boeing Aircraft and a law firm.
She was a member of Calvary Temple Church in Indianapolis, where she participated in church services and the TV Choir.
Phyllis's hobbies included playing piano, guitar and accordion; she was self-taught. Time spent with family and friends was one of her most treasured activities.
She married Lonard Basham in 1954 in Boone County. She then married Paul Rosselot in 1984 in Indianapolis. Both marriages ended in divorce with no children.
Survivors include brother, Larry R. (Sharon) Woodard; sisters, Carole A. (Luther) Wright and Rita Allen, all of Lebanon; and sister, Jeane Rusk of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Marlin R. Woodard, Harold T. Woodard, C. Charles Woodard, Devon Woodard and Edgar Woodard, as well as sister, Naomi R. Briles.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Mortuary, with the Rev. Dennis Woodard officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
