Marvin E Williams, 2025 Franklin avenue NE, a lifelong resident of Linn county and maintenance superintendent of the Paramount building the last 12 years, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 10:50 am Tuesday following a brief illness. He was born Dec 31, 1899, and was married to Juanita Bash Nov 1, 1930, in Cedar Rapids. He was World War I army veteran and served overseas 18 months. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Marvin Williams, Jr; a daughter, Faith Alee Willams; 5 sisters, Mrs Dorothy Norton, Mrs Faye Clarahan, Mrs. Helen Long, Mrs Delia Chapman and Mrs Virginia Brown, all of Cedar Rapids; 5 brothers, Marion and Lawrence, of Cedar Rapids, Glenn of Ottumwa, Roy, of Chicago, and Charles Williams of Eureka, CA. Mr Williams was a member of St Paul's Methodist church. Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at a time to be announced later. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Cem.
