Herman Fritz Heye Dies Wednesday, Services Thursday

Herman Fritz Heye, long time resident and business man of Gonzales died at the Crews hospital at 8 a.m. Wednesday following a long period of ill health.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday at 4 p.m. from the Seydler Funeral home with the Rev.Charles B. Fraser, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and the Rev. J. Earl Bryant, pastor of the First Baptist church in charge. Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Mr. Heye was born in Germany on Feb15, 1879, to W. H. and Morgnesta Faden Heye, natives of Germany. He came to this country when 15 years of age.
He had lived in Gonzales for many years and had operated a saddle shop with his brother, who died several years ago.
He was married to the former Sedonia Elnora Burchard on November 25, 1901.
A member of the First Presbyterian church and the Ofd Fellows Lodge, he is survived by his wife; one son, Charles A. Heye of Nixon; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Also surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Donburger of Kingsville, and Mrs. Lena Foch of Houston.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Hoyt and Burchard Heye.
