Ruth Mary Halladay, 78, of Timbercrest Retirement Community, North Manchester IN died Monday, February 6, 2006 at 2:20PM at Timbercrest Healthcare Center. She was born October 4, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Paul and Sara (Heebner) Halladay.
She was an English teacher at Sweetser High School, South Whitley, and finally Hobart High School in Hobart, Indiana for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She also taught English in Nigeria, West Africa from 1959 - 1961. She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren and Delta Kappa Gamma.
She is survived by brother, Karleton Halladay of Arvada, CO; and two Cousins, Paul Burkett of Columbia City, IN and Helen Farringer of North Manchester, IN.
