Virginia was the second of five children of Mary Jane Danner and Brack Cox and their oldest daughter. She married Charlie Holmes Dunn on May 14, 1930 at the age of 17. Together they had three daughters and raised them on a farm in Prestonville where the Kentucky and Ohio Rivers meet.
She was the most loving, caring and sweetest person one could ever encounter. She endured a hard life and suffered the loss of both of her legs due to her diabetes. She also suffered a stroke that left her partially paralyzed but even through all of this, she never lost her faith and kept up a good spirit.
We went to flea markets a lot on weekends and never missed Courthouse Days in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky every year. I will never forget her and her upbeat attitude no matter how bad the situation around her seemed to be. She will always be loved and missed.
