Funeral services were held May 2 at West End Baptist Church, Social Circle, with Rev. Eddie Goodwin and Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Interment was in City Cemetery, Social Circle. Services were under the direction of White Columns Memorial Chapel, Monroe.

Mr. Peters was born in Walton County May 11, 1893, a son of the late Eugene J. Peters and Mrs. Elizabeth Hawk Peters. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Hanson Peters, daughters, Mrs. Sandy (Sandra) Hicks, Monroe, Mrs. Thomas (Sherrie) Sims, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sons, T. Z. Peters, Social Circle; sisters, Mrs. Lena Mae Hanson, Rutledge, Mrs. Annie Lou Studdard, Social Circle; brother, Lamar Peters, Monroe; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
