David was born on February 6, 1923 in Rush County to Clarence and Alice (Gabbard) Snoddy.
He was a Pfc in the US Army, serving in WW 2. He worked from 1956-1980 as a mechanic with Massey-Ferguson in Brookville.
He married Ruth Wade in 1948 and she passed away in 1971. He then married Eleanor Wiggins in 1972 and she passed away in 2006.
David is survived by his sons, Gary & wife Georgeanna Snoddy of Connersville and Jack & wife Gloria Snoddy of Richmond, a daughter, Marcella & husband Jr. Hardin of Connersville, a step son, Cary Halverstat of Cambridge City, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents & wives, David was preceded in death by a brother, Benny, 2 step sons & 2 step daughters.
Services will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 9 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until time of service. Eric Hopkins will preside and burial will be in the Laurel North Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be given by the Fayette County Veterans Honor Guard.
