Wilma Storm Wardlow, age 97, of Jasper, Missouri went to be with her Lord on December 2, 2011.

She was born on a small farm near Galesburg, MO to Racey and Mabel Mallory Storm on February 20, 1914.

She had 7 brothers and 1 sister all deceased.

She loved her Lord, her family and her church. She was a member and attended New Providence Baptist Church.

At the time of her death she was the oldest living member.

She enjoyed working out in her flowers and watching them grow.

In the late 1960s she worked at the Ben Franklin in Webb City, Missouri.

She lived in the Pine Community where she met Floyd Wardlow. They were married on December 2nd, 1930 at Girard, Kansas. They had two children Doris and Billy Joe they both preceded her in death. Floyd passed away October 27, 1995.

She is survived by her son-in-law Ralph Hester and a very dear person Margaret Hole. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their spouses. Joe and Leslie Wardlow of Jasper, Hank Hester of Oklahoma City, Steve and Michelle Wardlow, Kyle and Sherri Garvin, and Travis and Cindy Casteel all of rural Jasper Missouri, and Judy and Herb Schmidt of Joplin, 14 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Wilma loved all of her family. She just loved the world and thanks God for letting her enjoy it.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at the New Providence Baptist Church, north of Joplin with Rev. Richard Crow and Rev. Larry Shumaker officiating.

Interment will follow at the Weaver Cemetery. Mrs. Wardlow will lie in state on Monday between the hours 11 AM – 6 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home of Webb City.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the New Providence Baptist Church, 17486 State Hwy 43 Oronogo, Missouri.
