Veronica Navarro was the daughter of Jose Martin Navarro and San Juana Glori Rodriguez. She was found murdered near Austin, Texas, on July 6, 2011.

Her new boyfriend was arrested at the North Dakota/Canada border as he was trying to flee to Canada. Veronica met him in May 2011. He was tried and convicted of the murder and sentenced to 60 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole on July 19, 2041, after serving only 30 years.
