Minister Keith Manuel Matthews- born October 6, 1962 to Jesse and Barbara Powell Brown, passed away peacefully Friday, December 2, 2011, at a local hospital. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, three sisters, Angela P. Brown, Huntsville, AL, Tiffany L. Brown and Tammy L. (Mickel) Flake, Conyer, GA; one loving sister/aunt, Eloise M. Hamilton; five brothers/uncles, Michael L. Powell, Tuscaloosa, AL, Council (Mary) Powell, Sr. Mobile, AL, Bedford (Betty) Matthews, Jr., Corona, CA, Curlie O. (Natalie) Matthews, Henderson, NV, and Mathis (Ruth) Matthews, Mountainview, CA; a godson, Aubrey Williams; three nieces, two loving, Barbara Janae' Brown, and Ebonee (Marcus) Jones; eight nephews, four devoted, Mickel II, Matthew, Micah and Omar (Tawanna) Hamilton; seven great aunts, three great uncles; devoted friends, Rev. Isaac McPherson, Jacqueline Jackson, Richard Evans, Sonja Williams, Darnell Abrams, his entire church family, co-workers and many, many other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state Tues. Dec. 6, 2011 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Hodge's Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral hour at Solid Rock Ministries, Rev. John D. Young Pastor. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery. End-life services provided by Hodge's Chapel L.L.C.
