I can't remember now how I got the lead on calling the St. Martin of Tour's church looking for burial information. But years ago I phoned in and a sweet lady named Gloria answered my call.
She checked the records of death housed at the church, which she said are too old and fragile to allow for public viewing. Within the book was listed, "Grace Whelen died after the reception of the last sacrament at age 77. September 6, 1850." And a note next to this stating that a tombstone was never placed to mark her grave. But she is indeed at rest there.
