RICHARD MARVIN COGGIN

The household of Dr. and Mrs. Coggin, No. 122 Cumberland street, sits in the shadow of a great sorrow today, for death has crossed its threshold and carried away in its cold embrace their only son, Richard Marvin Coggin. Death at any time is an unwelcome, but when it comes to one so full of promise--so full of hope of the realization of all that is bright and happy--it is doubly so.

Marvin Coggin was an exemplary, a devout member of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, a dutiful son and brother, and his sad demise fiils loving hearts with pain. His illness was of short duration, and it was not thought that the summons would come just yet, but God had need of him and now ,oh , mysterious providence, the melody of his life is hushed forever and his spirit has returned to the bosom of God, who gave it. Young Coggin had in view, the chosen profession of his father and to that end was a diligent student, but there is no to-morrow for any living man.

The funeral will take place from the family residence this afternoon at 6 o' clock.
