Ruth E. Beach, 86, went to be with the Lord and her husband, Gerald, who predeceased her in 1944 during WWII. Also predeceased by her daughter, Midge Convertino; parents, Emma and Howard Houseknecht; sisters, Marge Farr; granddaughter, Jessica Beach. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Beach, Windsor; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Vicki Beach, Johnson City; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Gofus, Va.; also many nieces and nephews. She was a past girl scout leader, and a member of the J.C. Garden Club. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved by everyone who knew her. Private services will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City.
