The Forsyth County News, May 12, 1921
In loving memory. On the 19th day of January, 1920, the death angel visited the home of Mrs. Sarah Martin, and bore away her spirit...Aunt Sarah, as she was called, had lived to the ripe old age of 94. She was married to Samuel Martin when young, and unto their union was born nine children, four boys and five girls, two of whom had outstripped her and gone on before.
Aunt Sarah was a member of the Baptist church for years and lived a faithful member until death. She was a devoted wife and mother. She leaves seven children, a number of grandchildren, and a host of other relatives...
Her remains were laid to rest in Coal Mountain cemetery, after funeral services conducted by Rev. G.W. Forrist.
