H. L. Edmunds Dies In West Palm Beach
Harry L. Edmunds, 77, in the real estate and insurance business in Ottumwa for more than 50 years, died suddenly about 11:40 last night in West Palm Beach, Florida.Mr. and Mrs. Edmunds had gone to Florida to spend the winter, as has been his custom for many years.Mr. Edmunds, whose Ottumwa home is at 304 East Fifth Street, was born January 19, 1872, in Cardiff, South Wales, the son of Lewis and Charlotte Thomas Edmunds. He lived in Ottumwa since 1884.He was married May 21, 1895, to Ola Kitterman, who died here November 9, 1946. He married Etta B. Goodson of Fairfield, February 3, 1948, who survives. He is also survived by one sister, Edith Mary Edmunds of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.Mr. Edmunds attended public schools and business college, prior to entering the real estate and insurance business. In past years he also held membership in several Ottumwa lodges and clubs.A nephew,
Charles E. Pedrick, Douds funeral director, left today for West Palm Beach. Announcement of funeral services and burial, to be held in Ottumwa, will be made later. Mr. Edmunds was a member of the Christian Science church.
