MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at the Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mr. Hocker, 87, of Old Hickory.
Retired from Genesco Shoe Company after 53 years of service and former owner of Mt. Juliet Skate Inn (1980 – 1984) Mr. Hocker died April 21, 2008 following a brief illness. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years Dorothy Hocker; children George (Jan) Hocker, Jr. of McKinney, TX; Terry (Kathy) Hocker of Harrisburg, PA; Kathy (Vic) Chester of Mt. Juliet, TN and Jill (Don) Herring of Murfreesboro.
Also surviving are grandchildren Staci Gregory, Terry Hocker, Sonya Knight, Shannon Chester, Dustin Chester, Gray Smith and Tanner Herring; great-grandchildren Ethan and McKenna Gregory, Tyler, Zachary and Emma Hocker, and Summer and Hannah Knight.
