Harold Junior Lane, of Sedalia, died Aug 29, 2006, at Sylvia Thompson Residence Center.
He was born May 24, 1923 in Sedalia, MO, the son of John Quincy & Eva May Durham Lane. On Sep 2, 1950 in Sedalia, MO, he was married to Maurine E Moore.
Mr Lane was raised and educated in Sedalia, a 1941 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. He worked as a Boilermaker for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He also worked for Frito Lay, Curtis Candy, and National Life Insurance Company. Mr Lane was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church. He bowled in a league for many years. He collected & recorded music. He built an addition onto his house along with a double car garage. Mr. Lane enjoyed auctions, building bird houses, country western music, John Wayne movies, and visiting with family & friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Ann Harvey & husband Gary, Janet Marie Holcomb & husband Tom, all of Blue Springs, MO; one sister-n-law, Alta Lane, of Little Rock, AR; five grandchildren, Cathy, Sarah, Lisa, Tommy, and Erica; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mr Lane was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Catherine Sue Lane, and two brothers, Lloyd Madison Lane, and Roy John Lane.
Pallbearers were Tom Halcomb, Gary Harvey, & Brent Ball. Honorary Pallbearers were Tommy Brittendall, John Lane, Matt Lane, Tony Moore, & Jim Moore.
